How It All Began


Tacone® celebrates flavor 10 – a decade of serving our customers

1996
Craig Albert and Michael Bernstein open the first Tacone® restaurant at Century City shopping center in Los Angeles. The restaurant opens with a flurry of press coverage and is hailed for its fresh, innovative menu.

1998
Tacone® opens five more locations in Southern California to rave reviews. All of Tacone's® customers have similar comments, "Your food is flavorful, fresh and a great addition to our area!," "How can I get involved with Tacone®?" or "When is Tacone® coming to my neighborhood?"

2001
Tacone® responds to its customers by offering franchises to independent investors. The request for franchises arrives at a furious pace.

2003
Tacone® opens its 10th restaurant. The company's growth is due to creative, entrepreneurial franchisees and enthusiastic customer response. Tacone® expands on its uniqueness by creating its signature Flavor Bar and adding such high quality items as Filet Mignon to its ever-evolving menu.

2005
Tacone® unveils Live a Flavorful Life! The new marketing campaign captures the spirit of Tacone® - to live each day with passion, conviction and flavor.

2006
Tacone® set to open its 35th restaurant with 16 openings this year and have 150+ stores in development now.
